Making our way through Oakville, we find ourselves in the neighbourhood known as Morrison.

Morrison lies within the boundaries of Chartwell Road to the west, Maple Grove Drive to the east, Lake Ontario to the south and Cornwall Road to the north.

This area is well known for its large properties one extremely leafy, mature treed crescent and courts. Over the past 10 years, the streetscapes have undergone major transformations.

There used to be small bungalows, which were built in the 1950's and 1960's that have been demolished and replaced by oversized homes and estates.

Lakeshore Road is a mix of new homes and Century homes. The lakefront homes have also been demolished and constructed over to make room for custom residences, which are absolutely, breathe taking.

A problem occurring in Morrison is that the future of some local schools is in jeopardy due to lower enrolments and the need for refurbishment.

The Morrison neighbourhood is comprised exclusively of detached homes.

You can expect entry level prices for older, original condition bungalows to start at the half million mark ($500,000) and prices increase upwards to over $5,000,000.

The unique properties in Morrison range from contemporary to traditional. You will find Georgian, Williamsburg, rustic and even some original farmhouses.

There is Wedgewood Park to provide a public outdoor pool and playground. You will also find many homes backing onto ravines or creekbeds.

Morrison holds some of the most expensive real estate in Oakville, and it is on of the most prestigious neighbourhoods to call home.
